Project Management

I frequently manage different types of projects, mainly event planning and content projects or marketing campaigns. Below I list out some of the tasks I work on, as well as samples of the work I do.

Event Planning

I have experience planning events for up to 100 attendees. These events have ranged from a few hours to multiple days. Here are some of the event planning tasks that I have managed:

  • Creating and sticking to a budget

  • Researching venues and vendors

  • Comparison of venues on price, amenities, location, etc.

  • Finalizing contracts so they can signed on time

  • Reserving hotel room blocks for guests

  • Selecting food and beverage choices

  • Scheduling AV services

  • Preparing presentations, name tags, and other content materials for the event

  • Setting the schedule of events

  • Assists attendees on day of event as needed

  • Manages event social media

  • Evaluates attendee feedback after event

Content Projects

I frequently manage multiple projects at a time. Many of the projects I manage are related to the creation, distribution, and analysis of content. Here are a few things I frequently do when managing these content projects:

  • Creating project plans to share overarching ideas with the team

  • Creating and sticking to project timelines

  • Assigning tasks to different team members

  • Checking in with team members to ensure work is done on time or adjust as needed

  • Provide support for getting high quality work finished on time

  • Choosing metrics and creating processes to collect data on these metrics

  • Analyzing data and metrics to assess project success; if project is ongoing, implement changes based on the data

  • Report on metrics and project progress to stakeholders; for on-going or long-term projects, this may be a weekly or monthly meeting
